Via Claudia Augusta

With the intention of connecting the north of the country with the south and east of the empire, the first hiking trails emerged from the mule tracks of the Celts in Roman times. And we can still recognise the signs of this formative history today. On the typical hollow paths, the milestones and the people who live from and with the road along the route today as they did then. After all, the Romans mostly travelled on foot and after a day's walk along the approximately 600-kilometre hiking trail with 30 stages from Landsberg to Castelbrando, it was time to stop off, find some peace and quiet and fortify yourself for the next stage. Not everything on the Via Claudia Augusta has changed. And its magic has remained. Even today.

Starkenberger Panoramic Route

Seven sections, eight lakes, seven ups and downs. The Starkenberger Panoramic Route takes you on seven varied sections from Landeck Castle to Ehrwald. The panoramic trail lives up to its name in every respect and is full of life and surprises. One minute you are walking through the thicket of a cool pine forest, the next you are standing in front of a romantic hamlet and refreshing yourself with cold spring water from the village fountain. Whether a mystical pilgrimage trail or an impressive passage, the Starkenberg Panorama Trail is the ideal way to explore the region.

Way of St James

We discover it on hiking signs, historical monuments and courtyards decorated with flowers: the small midnight blue symbol with the golden shell that beams expectantly at us. Like the rising sun over Santiago de Compostela. This is the famous Way of St James! This particular route is not just a hiking trail, but a collection of pilgrimage routes that all have one destination: this city in the north of Spain, where the tomb of St James the Apostle is located and where you receive the so-called Compostela, the popular pilgrim's certificate. But the historic Camino de Santiago also leads through Tyrol with a total of 10 stages from Kufstein to Alpe Rauz. And so we find it again, the blue and gold shell, after more than 250 kilometres, countless impressions and a hiking trail that is far more than just a path.

Eagle Walk

This long-distance hiking trail is many things, but by no means a walk in the park! If its fantastic panoramic views make us dream, its honey-yellow fields and flower-strewn mountain meadows cast a magical spell over us and the roaring torrents break up the rugged mountain landscape and fascinate us completely - it is its range that makes this hiking trail a true all-rounder. Whether you are a leisure hiker, ambitious mountaineer or passionate alpinist - on 33 stages, around 320 kilometres with 23,000 metres of ascent alone, every mountain fan will find their dream tour. The main route, which resembles an eagle with outstretched wings, has been designed in such a way that it can be completed in sections and can be entered and exited at several points.
