Alpine Coaster - the longest Alpine rollercoaster in the world

The Imster Alpin Coaster is the longest Alpine rollercoaster in the world. You hurtle down into the valley on rails in a yellow plastic sledge: the track is a magnificent 3535 metres long and takes you down 500 metres in altitude. There are bends, waves and spinning tops along the way, and you can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h - or simply brake yourself with hand levers and enjoy the ride a little more gently. Adventurous mini-pilots can join in from the age of three, while children from the age of eight and 1.25 metres tall can ride on their own. There are single tickets and multi-ride tickets or combinations with mountain railways. Ready for a ride on the Alpin Coaster?

A hiking trail in the forest with large wooden animals
Jägersteig

Experience a magical hike with your family on the Jägersteig trail in Hoch-Imst. The narrow path leads you through a fascinating landscape with imposing trees, large boulders and skilfully carved animal sculptures. After around 50 minutes, you will reach the rustic mountain hut, which invites you to linger with traditional Tyrolean cuisine and a sunny terrace. The way back leads across flowering alpine meadows, where you can watch cows grazing and enjoy the wide panorama of the surrounding mountains. This easy and varied hike is ideal for families with both young and older children. Hike Jägersteig

Playground Hoch-Imst

There are several little adventures and games waiting to be discovered by children at the middle station of the Imst mountain railway: The 85 metre long wooden marble run promises natural fun with its varied stations and elements. If you are travelling with several children, you can organise a race and measure the time with a mobile phone or watch. While the children are busy chasing the best times, parents can relax on the terrace of the U-Alm and keep an eye on their children at all times. There is also a free bouncy castle and a playground with a large wooden ball tower and other play equipment, providing even more fun, games and adventure - and giving parents a relaxing break.

Family Park

A little paradise for adventurous families is located next to the Imster Bergbahnen station. Whether as part of a mountain adventure, as a highlight after refreshing in the Hoch-Imst lake, or as a special surprise for the kids: the Family Park - Hoch Imst. Anyone who thinks that only children can experience something there is mistaken. The 5,000 m² E-Trail Park is a playground for young and old bike freaks, even professionals will get their money's worth.

E-Trial Park

Children from the age of 3 can have their first riding experience on special bikes. But advanced riders and professionals will also get their money's worth on the varied course. Skill, coordination, concentration and, above all, lots of fun are required.

Tip

Not far from the exit of the Rosengarten Gorge, the Schinderbrach has carved a wide stream bed with extensive gravel banks into the landscape. This place is not only a natural jewel, but is also ideal for building bark boats and letting them float in the water. Please note: when it rains in the mountains, the water level of the stream can rise very quickly. It is therefore essential to check the weather before visiting!
