Origin

The hike starts in Hoch-Imst and initially follows a pleasant forest road. Before long, the trail branches off and climbs a little more steeply through the forest.

Passing the reservoir pond, you are rewarded with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The trail continues steadily uphill, while the landscape becomes more open as you gain altitude. Eventually, the forest clears and the trail continues upwards across beautiful alpine meadows.

The route then leads across the expansive alpine pastures towards the mid-station of the Imst cable cars and Untermarkter Alm. Here, you have the perfect opportunity to take a well-deserved break and enjoy the impressive mountain panorama.

For the return journey, follow the comfortable forest road, which descends gently back to Hoch-Imst.
