Forest Trail to Untermarkter Alm

The hike starts in Hoch-Imst and follows a well-maintained forest road steadily uphill from the very beginning. The trail climbs gently through the beautiful mountain landscape, without any steep sections – ideal for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed hike.

Along the way, it is worth stopping from time to time to look back towards the valley and admire the surrounding mountains. A special highlight is watching the Alpine Coaster riders speeding down the mountain. You can catch glimpses of them at various points along the trail.

As you gain altitude, the views become increasingly impressive. The landscape gradually opens up, revealing more of the surrounding mountains as you approach your destination. Eventually, you reach Untermarkter Alm, where you can enjoy a well-deserved break, a cosy refreshment stop and magnificent mountain views.
