Karrösten: Tschirgant Überschreitung

From the hikers' parking lot in Karrösten, first follow the forest road in the direction of "Karröster Alm", then in the direction of "Höhenweg Karres" and later the path to the Karrer Alm. After the alpine pasture, walk a short distance on the forest road until the south-facing ascent to the Sattele begins at a hay barn. The path leads through mountain pines and later through rocky terrain. From the Sattele, walk along the ridge to the Karrer Kreuz (Tschirgant) and then downhill in a westerly direction to the Bergwachthütte. Shortly before the mountain guard hut, the path is rope-secured over the rocks. After the hut, follow the trail downhill in the direction of "Karröster Alm, Schmittensteig" until you reach the forest road. Cross this and continue in the direction of "Karröster Alm" to the next forest road. Now walk on this to the Karröster Alm and then continue on the forest road downhill to the starting point. Demanding long mountain hike that requires surefootedness and a head for heights.
