Travelling to Imst

While in days gone by, the mountains of Tyrol could be accessed only with great difficulty, the region today boasts an excellent transport infrastructure.

Travelling by train or bus is one of the most relaxing ways to get here, be it from other parts of Austria or from countries such as Germany, Switzerland or Italy.

Driving to Tyrol in your own car is also easy, whatever direction you’re coming from. Motorway travel requires a toll sticker (‘Vignette’), while all other roads can be used free of charge.

For guests planning to arrive by plane there are direct flights – some even daily – from many European cities to Innsbruck’s Kranebitten Airport and Munich Airport.
