Characteristics: Easy, steadily ascending trail, where you can choose between hiking trail and forest road. The deep view of Imst already makes the ascent to the alpine pastures a varied hike. By car to Karrösten. At the entrance to the village turn left and at the next intersection turn right on a gravel path along the edge of the forest. About 150m after the bend you will find the parking lot below the path. Now walk past the barrier and continue straight ahead at the first bend in the forest road. The old path actually only shortens the newly created forest road until the hiking trail branches off from the forest road on the uphill side. Here the hiker must decide whether to use the hiking trail or the forest road to the alpine pasture. The latter is somewhat longer. Whereby one must accept the monotony of such a path. The hiking trail is an experience especially for children. Over roots, past anthills and cattle troughs, this path accompanies the forest road, always within shouting distance. The last section of the path to the alpine pasture is somewhat steeper and ends directly on the pastures below the hut, which is managed in summer.östen
