The wild romantic Kohlstattsee is nestled among reeds in the midst of the Natura 2000 protected area. The sparkling water reflects the sky, and the surrounding nature radiates untouched beauty. The tall trees form a protective canopy above you as you make your way through this mystical forest. Time and again, the forest opens up to clearings that offer you impressive views of the landscape. On the way back, the path leads you to the small pilgrimage church of Sinnesbrunn. The chapel was built in 1777 and later expanded. It houses a votive image of the Madonna with Child from the 18th century. Visitors can ring the chapel's bell, an old tradition that accompanies pilgrims and hikers.
