The Karrer Alm is located at the foot of the Tschirgant, one of the most prominent viewpoint mountains in the outdoor region of Imst. The Alm sits at an altitude of 1,648 meters and offers an impressive view over the Inn Valley and the Ötztal. It is known for its hearty local cuisine and serves regional specialties. The sun terrace invites visitors to linger and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Lechtal Alps and parts of the Ötztal Alps. The Alm is an ideal starting point for long hikes, such as to the summit of Tschirgant. It is also a popular destination for mountain bikers looking for the challenge of steep ascents. For overnight guests, there are two beds in rooms and twelve sleeping places in a mattress dormitory.
Starting Point
From the federal road, turn into Karres, drive straight through the village, past the education center on the right until about 100 meters after the last residential house. There, turn left onto the access road to the forest settlement up to the barrier.
Now walk along the alpine path in serpentines through the spruce forests, past the Lehnetalgraben to Karrer Alm.
