At the foot of the Heiterwand northern faces at 2042 meters lies the Anhalter Hütte, a popular destination for hikers and climbers. It serves as an ideal starting point for summit tours to the Tschachaun (2334 m), the Falscher Kogel (2385 m), and the Namloser Wetterspitze (2553 m). The easiest access is from Hahntennjoch and takes about 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can reach the hut from Namlos or Boden in the Bschlaber Valley, each in about 3 hours of hiking time. The varied ascents offer impressive views of the high alpine landscape of the Lechtaler Alps. The Anhalter Hütte is the perfect place to experience the nature of the Lechtaler Alps – whether for a rest, an overnight stay, or as a starting point for unforgettable mountain tours.
Overnight Stay
The hut has a total of 74 sleeping places. These are divided into double rooms, multi-bed rooms (4-person, 6-person), as well as spacious and bright 8-10 bed dormitories. Reservations for sleeping places can be made online and are requested. The room allocation takes place on-site only.
Starting Point
At the Hahntennjoch pass summit, there is ample parking available.
From there, you ascend on a wide mountain path through mountain pine fields to the northeast towards Steinjöchl. Along a initially well-secured path with a rope handrail, you then descend to the Anhalter Hütte, located nearly 200 meters lower, which you reach after a short ascent.
