Every day on the Via Ferrata

Via ferratas

Via ferrata fans can expect an impressive selection of routes for every level in the Outdoorregion Imst. The challenging Imst via ferrata leads from the Muttekopfhütte to the 2,623 metre-high Maldonkopf and impresses with a spectacular 20 metre-long rope bridge and a sensational panorama. The Leite via ferrata in Nassereith offers a sporting challenge with difficulty level C/D. The waterfall via ferrata near the Muttekopfhütte is one of the most popular in Tyrol and is a must-do when visiting Hoch-Imst. The Hanau via ferrata, below the hut of the same name, offers different levels of difficulty from A/B to C/D and is therefore suitable for both beginners and experienced via ferrata fans. Full via ferrata equipment is required and can be hired on site.

Imster via ferrata
Famous for the "stone gardens", but even more notorious for the one particular via ferrata, Imst boasts a dizzying tour up to difficulty class D. Over a length of around 800 metres, the climb takes you in three to four hours from the start at 2,202 metres over 400 metres in altitude up to the Maldonkopf at 2,632 metres. Key point of the tour just before the summit - the characteristic steep face with only a few bends and all the more adrenaline kicks. Welcome to the Via Ferrata! But the breather will have to wait: the descent from the summit via the steep Engelkar will once again draw all the reserves from your hands, feet and, above all, your mindset. From A for challenging to Z for certified, we have one word in particular for this tour: paradisiacal!
