Treading water every day
Father Kneipp sends his regards!
Getting your feet cold after a long hike or bike ride is just the thing to get your circulation going again and do something good for your immune system. Follow in the footsteps of the ancient Romans and take a dip in the Römerbadl in Roppen. The Frauenbrunnen fountain in Tarrenz is an insider tip. Treading water in the radon-containing spring promises to have a healing effect on skin problems, among other things. In the neighbouring village of Nassereith, the "Mühlsprung" will get your circulation going again on a hot summer's day. Take a dip in the arm bath or a walk around the idyllic water treading pool surrounded by nature.

The Römerbadl in Roppen, at the foot of the 2,370 metre high Tschirgant, is a Kneipp facility that is unrivalled in the whole of Tyrol. The spring has long been known for its healing properties and is now classified as a calcium-magnesium-sulphate-hydrogen carbonate spring. This mineral composition is created by the mineral-rich rock of the Tschirgant. With a constant water temperature of 12 to 13 degrees Celsius, the facility offers ideal conditions for Kneipp cures. There used to be a simple brick trough at this location, the so-called "Badehäusl", which, in addition to its use as a Kneipp facility, also served as a cattle trough. Today, an open columned hall reminiscent of Roman bathhouses invites visitors to enjoy Kneipp treatments in a stylish setting.
The Römerbadl is located directly on the Way of St James and is a popular and refreshing stopover for pilgrims and hikers.

The Kneipp facility is located in the so-called witches' village of Tarrenz, directly on the Gurgltal cycle path and is a centre of attraction for active sports enthusiasts. The Frauenbrunnen (women's fountain) was already considered a healing spring in the past, especially for skin diseases, which has been scientifically confirmed today. Information boards explain the correct use of Kneipp cures. The facility is accessible free of charge around the clock. The water from the radon-containing spring flows through a fountain system into troughs and basins made of impregnated natural wood. There is also a drinking water fountain. The spring is associated with a legend according to which a mysterious woman distributed shiny stones to children, which led to the discovery of ore deposits on the Tschirgant.
There is more to proper Kneipp therapy than just venturing into cold water. Follow the instructions on the boards at the Kneipp facilities to achieve a lasting effect and get your circulation going.
