Weberei Schatz

The Schatz weaving company in Karrösten is a traditional family business that offers genuine Tyrolean weaving art in its third generation. The craft business at the village square preserves the centuries-old tradition of weaving. On broad rolls of mechanical looms, particularly durable linen is produced, made from flax fibers. ​

A special rarity of the Schatz weaving company is the bobbin lace, which is crafted according to old bobbin patterns. This technique likely originated in 16th century Italy and then made its way to Tyrol.

Visitors can learn all about flax, patterns, and weaving techniques during a one-hour guided tour through the workshops, following the journey from the single fiber raw material to the exclusive meter goods and finished table linens. In the small shop of the family business, a rich selection of woven goods is available. ​
