Fountain town Imst

The fact that water is always present in the Imst outdoor region should quickly become clear when looking at some of the pictures. Water has always played an important role here. It is no coincidence that the village fountain was once an important meeting point in everyday life. Imst occupies a special position here: Not only is one fountain more beautiful than the next, there are a total of 20 lovingly designed fountains in Imst. Particularly worth seeing are the Upper Fountain Circle in the Upper Town (12 fountains) and the Lower Fountain Circle in the Lower Town (8 fountains on Church Day or during Corpus Christi processions). Lovingly decorated, the elaborately designed fountains shine in the most beautiful splendour. Incidentally, the patron saint of the fountain often gives the whole square its name.
