Tarrenz / Walchenbach

Description:

Ideal climbing garden for newcomers. Access, the distance between pitons and the routes are short. The wall dries quickly after rainfalls. The climbing garden Walchenbach was made for climbing with children. However, also it is also suitable for beginners thanks to the perfectly secured routes. All routes are equipped with "Umlenk" carabiners.

Route lengths: 5 - 15 meter.

 

Details:

There is a general overview board for all routes which all the route names at the entry points. A picnic place provides seats for up to 10 people.

Equipment: 14 Express slings/webbing slings + 50 meter rope + helmet

Best season: Spring, Summer, Autumn and warm Winter days.

Exit the motorway A12 at Imst and then drive towards Fernpass through Tarrenz until the hamlet of Walchenbach. The parking space is on the right side of the street, opposite of the building yard of the community. Then cross the state road and then follow a forest path for 50 meters. Now take the turn to the left and further for ca. 50 meters until the first serpentine. From there a small path in 5 minutes to the wall.
