Imst / Reithle

Description:

Wonderful climbing and boulder area with up to 15-meter high conglomerate blocks. The small and remote climbing area is hidden in dense forest below the Obermarkter Alm.

Exposition: In the shady forest.

Best season: Late Spring until early Autumn.

There are 2 possibilities to reach the Reithle:

Up with the lift to the Untermarkter Alm. Now along a forest path down towards Hoch-Imst. After just a few minutes a forest path branches off to the left. Follow it until you reach a creek which you cross at a power plant. Follow the path further along until it crosses the "Opferstockweg" (path). Now further down until a forest path branches off to the right. Follow this one and after just a few meters you reach the upper blocks. Total walking time from the Alm: 25 minutes.

From the parking space in Hoch-Imst follow the trail towards Teilwiesen. Ca. 500 meters after you crossed the creek go to the right along the "Opferstockweg" towards Obermarkter Alm. This path crosses a forest path twice. Follow the second forest path to the left and within a few meters, you reach the first blocks. Descend past the upper blocks to reach the main sector. Total walking time: 35 minutes from the parking space.
