A desire to travel every day

Mobility on site

Even without a car, the outdoor region with all its natural beauty and experiences is open to you and waiting to be explored. With the Imst Card, you can use the well-developed public bus connections between the towns of Nassereith (incl. Holzleiten and Fernpasshöhe), Tarrenz, Karres, Karrösten, Roppen, Imst, Imsterberg, Mils, Schönwies, Zams and Landeck free of charge all year round. There are also 4 railway stations in the region, which not only provide you with a convenient and environmentally friendly alternative to the car, but are also ideal for excursions, for example to the provincial capital of Innsbruck.

Tip

In winter, we offer you a special extra so that you can make the most of the area around Imst with its more than 60 ski areas and an incredible 1,800 kilometres of pistes. With a valid ski pass or with your winter sports equipment, you can also use the bus connections in the neighbouring regions free of charge!

If you are travelling with your dog, you can take it with you on most public transport. However, there is a muzzle requirement.

Mit dem Zug in den Urlaub nach Imst
Travelling by train
The Imst-Pitztal train station and the three bus stops in Schönwies, Imsterberg and Roppen connect the outdoor region with the rest of Tyrol and the neighbouring provinces. This means you can go on exciting excursions without a car. A visit to the provincial capital of Innsbruck with its numerous sights, the Alpine Zoo and excellent shopping opportunities is just as much a hot tip as a visit to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds.
Tip

You can buy your ticket directly from us at the information office in Imst. Or you can buy them conveniently online via the Austrian Federal Railways app.
