summer activity
for families
The witch trail in Tarrenz offers a magical adventure for the whole family. On the 2.7-kilometer-long, easy-to-walk circular hike, you can expect 16 exciting puzzles set by the little witch "Salvesia," which are hidden on educational boards along the way. With the witch pass, which you can obtain at the Imst Tourism information office, you can start searching for the solutions and look forward to a special gift at the end.
The trail leads from the parish church of Tarrenz through the impressive Salvesenschlucht, past the spring capture, through sunny pine forests, and over the narrow bridge of the "High Crossing." A short detour to the mysterious "Witches' Oven" is especially worthwhile for little adventurers.
The unique nature with sinter formations, historical rubble, and the rushing Salvesenbach makes the trip an unforgettable experience. The path is ideal for families who love nature and adventure, but it is not suitable for strollers. Art enthusiasts will also find something to enjoy, as along the path you will encounter sculptures and artworks by international sculptors that have been created since 1996.
