Bouldering

In search of the perfect flow, conquerors of gravity are often drawn not to dizzying heights, but to the ground. Into the depths of the Imst forests, to one of the four bouldering halls in the outdoor region, to the Hualig Almeck not far from the U-Alm. Here we recognise this natural authenticity and feel an elemental connection with everything that surrounds us. We have both feet on the ground when we hang upside down from the rock. We feel grounded when our own climbing moves merge into a flowing movement and every move is right. Without rope and harness, but with a chalk bag, crash pad and a penchant for perfection. We boulder through paradise at jump height, solve the challenge on the rock with tricky moves and sink into the realisation that climbing happiness is usually very close at hand.
