Roppener Waalweg

This hike starts at Palmersbachweg. After just a few minutes' walk, you reach the so-called Monekreuz. The view that awaits you there will make your heart beat faster. The snow on the meadows sparkles like millions of diamonds. Shortly afterwards, you pass a small section of forest before continuing on the seemingly endless meadow. In the next section of forest you pass, it becomes dark. Here you will find the remains of a wall from long ago. These stones are evidence of the old execution site of Imst. Where many a crook had to say goodbye to his life on the gallows. We are only briefly stuck in this dark time, because as soon as you leave the forest, you are immediately enchanted by the snow-covered meadows. Where they are already making their way back.
