The start is east of Karres at the "Climbers Paradise" climbing parking lot, and you'll drive along the paved road to the forest settlement.
The forest path to the Karrer Alm leads through numerous switchbacks and steeper sections through the wild Lehnetalgraben valley up to the wonderful view from the Karrer Alm. The south-facing, dry pine forest has its charm, but it's also sure to induce sweaty sweating.
