The starting point for this hike is the Pigerbrücke bridge. You are immediately immersed in the snow-covered meadows of the Gurgltal valley. The Tarrenz reservoir, where numerous ducks are already eagerly awaiting your visit, invites you to take a short breather. Keep your eyes open and, with a bit of luck, you might be able to watch the beaver at work before continuing your hike through the endless meadows. Numerous old hay barns line their path all the way to Nassereith. It is not for nothing that the Gurgltal is called the valley of 1000 hay barns. The way back takes you through a snow-covered fairytale forest to Strad, then via the healing spring and the Knappenwelt until you arrive back at the starting point.
