Gravel tour to Lake Fernstein

Panoramic round tour along the ancient Roman road Via Claudia Augusta. Easy family tour up to the Fernsteinsee lake. Return via the newly paved Gurgltal cycle path to Imst.

Imst centre, along the VCA cycle path to the Gurgltal valley, Tarrenz, Strad, continue in the shady forest to Nassereith. The valley now becomes narrower and slightly steeper. Through the castle arch of the Hotel Schloss Fernsteinsee, viewing point with a view of the emerald-green Fernsteinsee.

Return at the campsite through the forest in the direction of Rastland - St. Wendelin - Brunnwald - Nassereith - Gurgltalradweg - Imst.

Alternative: Nassereither Alm (Muthenau Alm 1,739m) from the Fernsteinsee via the Via Claudia Augusta to the Fernpasshöhe and up to the Nassereither Alm (Muthenau Alm).
