Invitation to the Vernissage by Sheila Hundegger Ceramic Objects & Paintings
Museum Gallery Tarrenz Friday, September 19, 2025, at 7 PM
Sheila was born on September 8, 1945, in London, where she worked in the fashion industry, repairing patterns and cuts. She then came to Tarrenz in 1969, where she met her great love, Werner Hundegger, and worked with him for several seasons in the hospitality industry in Gurgl during the winter. In the summer months, they jointly ran the clubhouse of the Tarrenz Tennis Club, where her open and helpful nature allowed her to make many friendships.
She discovered her passion for painting 30 years ago and deepened her knowledge through various courses at Art Didacta in Innsbruck with Prof. Siegele and Prof. Weissenbach. She was present at the founding of the Kunstforum Salvesen in 2007 and served as treasurer there for many years. About 15 years ago, she discovered her love for ceramics, began pottery, and took several courses with Ms. Helene Keller. Meanwhile, ceramics have come to the foreground for her, mainly choosing abstract motifs, while Sheila remains more focused on figurative subjects in painting, which can be seen during the exhibition at the Museum Gallery.
The list of her solo and group exhibitions is long and extensive: starting in 2000 at the clubhouse of the Tarrenz Tennis Club, in the following years at the Therapy Center Weber Imst, the Tarrenz Library, several exhibitions at Kunst im Advent, AK Tiroler Kunstmarkt Imst, Museum Gallery Tarrenz, and Land Art Kunstforum Salvesen, to name just a few.
The museum association is looking forward to this interesting and diverse exhibition with Sheila, and we warmly invite you to join us! The museum team will gladly pamper you again with Kiachln and drinks during the vernissage on September 19, starting at 7 PM!
Opening hours: every Saturday from 6 PM – 8 PM Sunday from 10 AM – 12 PM until October 5, 2025
