Progressive, psychedelic, uncompromising: Mother's Cake return with their fifth album to the Oberland, where it all began over 15 years ago – more experimental than ever. Support: Auditory Message
Following the release of their new album, Ultrabliss, Mother's Cake bring their unmistakable sound and live spirit to the city stage. The band deliberately deconstructs classic song structures, blending funk, krautrock, psychedelic, and British indie vibes into a musical frenzy – including cinematic references from Kubrick to NDW.
But despite all the references, Mother's Cake always remains unique: The live performance is devoid of stage pathos – what counts is the energy. Major multimedia distractions aren't even necessary for the musical fireworks of the "Cakler" live show. "We're more of an anti-rock show," says frontman Yves Krismer. No rock circus, but pure escalation.
