Cellist and singer-songwriter Marie Spaemann, known for her solo work as well as international orchestral projects and festival appearances, and Burgenland accordionist Christian Bakanic, who came from a folk music background and is now firmly established in the jazz scene, merge on stage to create a unique world of sound. Splits & Circles is an evening that refuses to be narrowed down stylistically or emotionally – and precisely for this reason, resonates long after the concert.
