Manfred Rebhandl sends his messed-up cult investigator Rock Rockenschaub back through a Vienna full of porn cinemas, retirement homes, and black humor.
In Hundred Kilos of Loneliness Viennese central cemetery romance, worn-down investigators, and dark humor meet for a macabre family celebration. Super-sleuth Rock Rockenschaub stumbles through porn cinemas, political dinners, and old-age homes – amidst corpse feasts, love chaos, and lost chess games. Manfred Rebhandl continues to spin his cult figure and dissects with precise language a world where death is everyday life and life still goes on stupidly.
Manfred Rebhandl, born in 1966, lives in Vienna and writes crime novels, screenplays, plays, and reports. He became known for his cult crime novels featuring Rock Rockenschaub, which find their own distinct language between the gutter and the central cemetery – coarse, laconic, and always close to his quirky but lovable characters. His texts are published by, among others, Haymon, and the Standard and WIENER are among his journalistic playgrounds.
