Subtle chamber music finesse between weeping and laughing: Yiddish music, powerfully interpreted and full of life. With clarinet, accordion, and double bass, the Salzburg trio unfolds a musical mosaic.
With their new program Meschugge 2.0 the Klezmer Connection Trio celebrates its connection between tradition and the present. The three musicians – Georg Winkler (clarinet), Hubert Kellerer (accordion), and Peter Aradi (double bass) – create music in interplay that touches, moves, and captivates. Sometimes lyrical and delicate, sometimes wild and virtuosic, but always with that deeply felt emotionality that “Klezmer music” is characterized by.The trio fascinates with the extraordinary balance between musical depth and lively spontaneity. Their concerts have already been celebrated in 24 countries on three continents – a “creative fireworks display,” as Die Presse writes, “full of sweetness, sorrow, love, and movement.” An evening at Stadtbühne that pulls all the musically-emotional strings.
