Jakob Kirchmayr's work combines painting, poetry, and experiences of nature into an
artistic practice that moves between ecology, existentialism, and system criticism.
In this regard, Silvie Aigner wrote in the art magazine PARNASS: “Painting on paper,
as expressive as it is lyrical. Painting that touches in a very special way and brings to
our attention the ambivalence of our present – in which the beauty of nature,
its destruction, friendship, and war exist side by side.”
