The Fasnachteingraben in Nassereith is a traditional custom that marks the end of the carnival on Shrove Tuesday. During this, the carnival, often symbolically represented by a "Ruaßler," is carried to its grave in the form of a burial procession. The mourners, many with black cloths, walk through the village to mourn the carnival, which is then "buried" for four years until the next carnival.
