The Viennese formation is known for its distinctive mix of poetic indie pop and chamber musical finesse. With the album Draußen im Kopf released in 2019, Lukas Klein, Florentin Scheicher, Florian Röthel, Jakob Lang, Roman Geßler, and Antonia Luksch first conquered the top 10 of the Austrian album charts.

In 2025, Buntspecht delivers an album that captivates with its hallucinatory-psychedelic intensity and dystopian romance. On Konstrukt 5 the six-member band combines artistic freedom with a radical lightness that brings hope in dark times.
