The Imster Höhenweg is a very long ridge crossing that requires surefootedness and a head for heights. From the parking lot in Hoch-Imst, walk in the direction of "Laggers, 622", past the rear parking lots to the game feeding area. Here, continue across the Schinderbach stream and always follow the hiking trail in the direction of "Laggers". Later the trail leads very steeply in serpentines up to the summit of the Laggers. Here begins the Imster Höhenweg, which leads mostly on the southwest side from the ridge, uphill to the Ödkarlekopf and further to the Pleiskopf. First, however, you have to descend steeply on grassy slopes to the lowest point of the ridge. The entire trail is marked, exposed and requires climbing skills. From the Pleiskopf, continue in a northwesterly direction until below the Rotkopf. Now turn right in the direction of "Muttekopfhütte", descend over the rocky ledge and rock steps (partly rope-secured) into the Seebrigkar. Below the "Blaue Köpfe" follow the path towards the "Muttekopfhütte" further downhill to the hut. From there, walk uphill via the Drischlsteig (rope-secured) back to the Alpjoch mountain station and take the cable car downhill.
ATTENTION: Please note the operating times of the Imster mountain railroads.

Refreshment stops: Muttekopfhütte
Highlights: Muttekopf rest area, waterfall, Adlerhorst viewing platform, SunOrama panorama terrace.
