From the Imst information office, turn right past St. John's Church and follow the main road slightly uphill. From Pfarrgasse turn left into Schulgasse and from there follow the signs in the direction of "Hachleschlucht". At the end of the village follow the hiking trail uphill, above the Hachleschlucht, to Hoch-Imst. Here, walk across the parking lot in the direction of "Blaue Grotte", past the natural lake, to the Schinderbach stream. Shortly before the bridge you have the possibility to look at the "Blaue Grotte" on the left. The further way leads over the Schinderbach and at the next crossing turn left in the direction of "Imst". The path leads to a forest road. Walk downhill on this to the road and follow the hiking trail in the direction of "Imst". At a boundary stone turn left onto the path in the direction of "Rosengartenschlucht". Follow this path back into the village to St. John's Church. A varied loop on well-maintained paths and climbs.

The Sonne parking lot is located directly in the city center of Imst, from here it is only a short walk to the entrance of the Rosengarten Gorge.
