Nassereith - rich in culture and tradition, home to walking and climbing areas as well as places of outstanding natural charm, such as Lake Fernsteinsee, Muthenaualm or the Afrigal Nature Park. Climbers Paradise stands for well-maintained climbing routes and facilities for climbers of all ages and ambitions. Lake Nassereith is popular among fishing enthusiasts longing for peace and meditation rather than action and thrill. In winter the Gurgltal Valley comes with cross-country skiing trails, toboggan tracks, and romantic winter walking routes.
The Schellerlaufen tradition is performed in three-year intervals, but there is a fabulous exhibition at Fasnachtshaus, which is open all year round.
Time for snow ... Time for rest and relaxation ... Time to explore local culture and nature ... Time for Nassereith!
Cruise down sweeping runs, do pirouettes on the ice, stroll through snow-covered forests, enjoy a toboggan ride. Do whatever you feel like doing!
Nassereith offers two small T-bar lifts for novice skiers and children. Within our immediate surroundings there are many big ski areas.
Cross-country skiers can choose from 60 km of trails for all levels of ability, and for walkers there are 30 km of cleared footpaths. Other popular activities include skating (local ice rink) and sledding (2 km summer bob track from Holzleiten to Nassereith; 1.6 km Dormitz toboggan track), as well as swimming (public indoor pool), sauna bathing, tanning, etc.
Nassereith offers charming restaurants and inns where you can sample authentic Tirolean dishes.
